Obituary for Sandra "Sandy" Nischwitz (Findlay)

Sandra E. Nischwitz "Sandy" age 80 of Clayton, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 in Englewood, Ohio. Sandy was born April 11, 1937 in Dayton, to the late Ivan and Thelma (Boyd) Findlay. She graduated from Fairview High School in 1955. She was longtime member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, currently know as New Hope Church. Sandy is preceded in death by son Gregg Nischwitz in 1980 and a brother Charles Findlay. Survived by Ron Nischwitz, daughter Lisa and her husband Brian Smith of FL, son Jeff of Cleveland, son Brad and his wife Becky of Clayton, grandchildren Eric and Kyle Nischwitz, Brooke and Blake Nischwitz, Travis and Nathan Smith, brother Ivan and his wife Sue Findlay of MI, sister-in-law Judy Findlay of MI, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Services celebrating her life will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr at N. Main St. by Pastor Jeff Cartwright. Interment Shiloh Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the New Hope Church 536 Xenia Ave. Dayton, OH 45410 or the Gregg Nischwitz Invitational Baseball Tournament in Sandy's memory.
