KARG, Thelma Aileen, 99 formerly of Crawfordsville, of Dayton, OH died January 7, 2018. She was born on June 30, 1918 in Crawfordsville, IN to the late Fred and Orpha Fern (Stuart) Crow. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Taylor University, Upland IN and received her Masters of Education degree by completing courses at Indiana State University, Terre Haute IN and a Miami University, Oxford OH. She was employed by Harry N Fine, Attorney at Law; R.R. Donnelley & Sons; Allison General Motors, Mid States Steel and Wire. Aileen retired as an Educator who taught in 4 different states Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Oregon. She was an Educator, Poet, Church Choir Musician, Bible Scholar, Pastor’s Wife, Sunday School Teacher, Violinist, Redbird Mission Youth Counselor and Wabash Orchestra Member.
Aileen was a proud member of Christ’s United Methodist Church; Associate member of Vandalia UMC, Vandalia, OH; International World of Poets and Indiana State Retired Teachers Association.
Aileen is preceded in death by her loving husband Reverend Henry Herbert Karg of Westerville, OH; her parents; sisters Lillian Gail (Olin) Swinney and Norma Jean (Don) Linn; nieces Joan Swinney and Judy Linn (Robert) White and her grandson Stuart Trissell.
Survived by her loving daughters Susan (Stanley) Trissell and Karen (Bill) Weiss; grandchildren Alexander William Weiss and Steffi Nicole Weiss; step- grandchildren Terry (Belinda) Trissell, Kimberly (Matt) Trissell Erwin and Mary Ann Trissell; and survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues.
Memorial Service 1PM Tuesday January 16th at Friendship Village 5790 Denlinger Rd.
