Douglas Sollenberger
SOLLENBERGER, “Solly” Douglas C. Sr. age 72 of Dayton passed away Thursday May 18, 2017. He was born on October 15, 1944 in Dayton to the late Robert C. and Ruth Sollenberger. He retired from GM, Delco Moraine after 37 ½ years. He was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman and hiker. His passion was nature. He was the most unselfish, caring, and giving man. His family and friends were his heart and soul.

Solly was preceded in death by his parents; also his brother Bobby Sollenberger; best friends Jim Skelton and Maize.

He is survived by his loving children Toni and husband Steve Chambers; little Doug and his wife Jessica Sollenberger; grandchildren Abby (Chris) Puterbaugh, Christine Prince (Stevo), Ashley (Sam) Faun, Amanda Rosengarten, Caitlyn Rosengarten, Samantha Mojica (Sollenberger), Greg Rosengarten and Joseph Depoy; 13 great-grandchildren; dear friends Linda Yeatman, Linda Johnson, Lizzie Skelton, Ed Bach, many dear friends from GM and his dog Penny Lane.

A Memorial will be held 6-8PM Monday May 22, 2017 at Wegerzyn Gardens Metro Park 1301 East Siebenthaler Ave. Dayton OH 45414. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Boonshoft Museum or Aullwood Audubon Center. Online memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerhazelsnider.com
